SUNDAY MORNINGS – 11 AM – 202 CYPRESS ST
We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the power by which all who believe are saved. It is this power given to followers of Christ by God, that is the “fruit bearing” catalyst for God’s redemptive work in the world. The gospel is the “good news” of Jesus Christ and is central to everything we do as a church.
Ephesians 2:1-10, Colossians 1:5-6, Rom. 1:16
The Christian faith is intended to be a community activity, yet so many Christians treat their faith like a solo project. Therefore, based on the freedom giving, transforming power of the gospel, we will strive to humbly live life together in a community that prays for, confesses to, mourns with, and rejoices alongside one another.
Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 3:12-13, 1 Corinthians 12:12-31, Romans 12:9-13, Philippians 1:27, 2:1-8
Fueled by the gospel and supported by our church community, we will strive to make disciples of Jesus Christ in our homes, neighborhoods, schools, jobs and communities. Becoming a disciple is a progressive process that starts with the redemptive work of Jesus Christ changing our hearts and continues with a worshipful life that is growing in “spirit and truth”. Therefore, we believe a disciple will be filled and guided by the Holy Spirit while growing in knowledge of God and an identity found in Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8, 1 Peter 2:11-12
We are created to worship. As a church, we will be relentless in our exaltation and praise of God who created us and saved us out of rebellion. This includes, the singing of songs in our corporate service and extends to every area of our daily lives.
Psalm 150: 1-6, John 4:23-24, Colossians 3:1-17, 1 Corinthians 10:31
With the message of the gospel being central to every sermon and all teachings at our church, we will strive to declare the full counsel of the divinely inspired, fully inerrant, authoritative Truth found in scripture.
2 Timothy 3:16-17, Acts 20:26-32, 2 Timothy 4:2-5
The greatest example of servant hood the world has ever known is revealed in the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. Having given His life in place of ours, Jesus paid the penalty for our rebellion so that through Him, we are considered spotless and blameless before a just God. Because of this, we will be dedicated to following Christ’s example and serving one another humbly and sacrificially.
Matt 20:25-28, Philippians 2:5-11, John 13:12-16
The Well has supporting churches and individuals from all over the country, and we wish to provide an easy online avenue for tithes and gifted contributions. If you are a resident of Abilene, we would love for you to join us for worship and see what God is doing through our church before considering a donation or tithe.
